Polar Ice Cap Gravel

 

 

Polar ice cap gravel is a mix of white, light grey, darker grey and light blue chippings, which gives your potted plants a white and clean finish, very much like a layer of Arctic polar ice. Gravel size approximately 5-7mm.

Suitable as top dressing for succulents or house plants or as decorative layers in glass terrariums.

 

You will receive depending on your purchase:

1 Small sized bag (12 x 10 cm) of 450g gravel which fills about 250 mL.
1 Medium sized bag (12 x 19 cm) of 1kg gravel which fills approximately 0.5 L.
1 Large sized bag (19 x 19cm) of 1.8kg gravel which fills approximately 0.9 L.

 

 

 

 

Benefits of using top dressing:

– As a finishing touch to the plant, it gives the plant an aesthetic look
– Anchoring down plantswith top dressing could provide support for roots to establish more healthily

– Creates a barrier between leaves and soil which prevents wet bottom leaves and fungal diseases.
– Inorganic top layer prevent pests and insects from laying eggs in your compost medium
– Prevents soil erosion or dirt from splashing on to your plants when watering
– Adds weight to the plant so they do not fall over or get knocked over easily

For reference, approximately 40g will cover a 5cm pot and 100g will cover a 13cm pot as top dressing.
